The Atlanta Soccer Club announced Friday that the team would hold open tryouts on February 23rd and 24th. They will be held on Field #1 at North Park in Alpharetta and begin at 8:00 AM each day. Participation costs $50 per day.
Team president and general manager Phoday Dolleh said they were excited for the new season on the field while the team transitions logistically. "Our goal is ro bring in more local players and prepare them to become professionals. Last season, we found Ryan Marcano and Austin Rainey during our open tryouts and both went on to start for our championship squad last year."
Head Coach Roberto Neves mentioned that he was excited for this year's open tryout and he does not care where players come from. "I don't care about the level you are coming from: youth academies, high school, college, or professional. If you have the quality, discipline, and coach-ability, we are excited to have you on our team."
Atlanta SC was born from the framework of the Atlanta Silverbacks Football Club. The club is the defending NPSL Southeast Conference champion and will compete in the same division in 2019. Be sure to follow Atlanta SC on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to keep up with the latest news.
